Biographical Information
Dr. Cloutier received her B.Sc in Biology in 1987 from McGill
University, her M.Sc. in Biology in 1990 from University Laval, and her
Ph.D. in psychology in 1997 from University du Qubec Montral From 1997
to 2004, Dr. Cloutier has been a post doctoral associate at Washington
State University Department of IPN and Center for the Study of Animal
Well-being with Dr. Ruth Newberry. Since 2004. Dr. Cloutier is a
research assistant professor in the Department of IPN and Center for the
Study of Animal Well-being. Her research focuses on factors affecting
the behavior and well-being of animals, and the quality of human-animal
interactions.She is also teaching a course on the role of veterinarian
in issues related to the human-animal bond/interaction.
