LGALS13 is an 139 aa glycoprotein.  It contains 1 carbohydrate galectin domain, a putative N-glycosylation site in the N terminus and several potential phosphorylation sites.  It is possible thatLGALS13 is composed of 2 identical subunits held together by disulfide bonds and is a homodimer.  LGALS13 has structural similarity to several members of the β-galactoside binding S-type lectin family.
