The teat sinus is part of the Lactiferous sinus and is typically lined by a two-layer cuboidal or columnar epithelium. In this case, we would identify this tissue as a stratified columnar epithelium. Remember: You determine the shape when naming stratified epithelium by the shape of the apical (superficial) layer of cells. Can you think of other places that we would find a stratified cuboidal or columnar epithelium?
